Trempealeau County residents voted similarly to the rest of the state, casting the most votes in last week Tuesday’s primary election for Janet Protasiewicz and Dan Kelly in a four-person race for the state’s Supreme Court.
Protasiewicz and Kelly will now face off for a seat on state supreme court in April.
Protasiewicz, a Milwaukee County judge, received 1,527 votes in Trempealeau County, while Kelly totaled 1,091. Jennifer Dorow was third in the county with 451 votes and Everett Mitchell was fourth with 142.
The percentages are similar to the statewide turnout where Protasiewicz received 46.5 percent of the vote, while Kelly came in with 24.2; Dorow, 21.9 and Mitchell, 7.5.
