Man arrested again for child pornography

A one-time Galesville resident has been charged again with possession of child pornography and now faces six felonies after investigators allegedly found images that included an infant.

Clayton William Solberg, 22, of Onalaska, was charged after a deputy, responding to a tip from an anti-child exploitation network, used a warrant March 11 to view images associated with Solberg’s email account, according to court records. The deputy allegedly found depictions of sexual acts involving four- and five-year olds and one involving a child under the age of one.

Solberg remained in jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bond. He is charged with five felony counts of possessing child pornography and one count of violating the terms of an earlier arrest. His initial appearance in court was scheduled for Wednesday.

Solberg, who says he is transitioning to a woman and should be called “Sofie,” was charged earlier in the year with two felony counts of possessing child pornography, according to court records. At that time he listed his address as Galesville. He was released on those charges after posting $2,500 cash bond.

In both instances, the sheriff’s office was alerted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that operates a child pornography detection operation.
