Times announces staff changes
Bylines in the Trempealeau County Times will look different going forward as two staff members have departed and two more have joined the award-winning newspaper.
Benjamin Pierce, the newspaper’s associate editor, and longtime staff writer Debbie Foss have departed and are being replaced by Zach Rastall and Sue Glenzinski.
Pierce left the Times to become the beat writer and manager of media relations for the Tampa Bay Lighting of the National Hockey League. He joined the newspaper in 2021 and was promoted to associate editor in 2022.
He is replaced as the associate editor by Rastall, who joins the Times from the Monroe County Herald, a newspaper based in Sparta. He previously worked for the Juneau County Star-Times and Peshtigo Times. He earned a journalism degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he worked for The Daily Cardinal student newspaper.
Rastall received four awards in the 2023 Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Contest.
Debbie Foss was the first hire Dannehy helped make as editor. She joined the newspaper in December of 2014 and has had stories appear on the front page nearly every week since. She retired at the end of October.
The Times has hired Sue Glenzinski to help fill the void. Glenzinski lives in Dodge and is a graduate of Arcadia High School. She has a degree in English literature from Winona State University. She will primarily cover news in the Arcadia and Independence areas.
