Dairyland fastpitch league play to start Thursday

The Dairyland Men’s Fastpitch Softball League will begin this Thursday with five teams participating in the 2020 season.

The teams include Ffats Brewing Company, Whitehall; Pleasantville Lions Club, Pleasantville; La Crosse Classics/Wason’s Supper Club, La Crosse and Galesville; Weiner’s Bar, Ettrick and East End Bar, Independence. 

League play will begin this Thursday and run every Thursday through Aug. 6 with a league playoff beginning that day. The first overall seed in the league will receive a bye in the playoffs while the other four teams play for a chance to advance to the semifinal round.

The two winning teams on Aug. 6 will play each other in a semifinal game on Aug. 13 and the winner of that game will play the top overall seed for the league championship.

6:30 p.m. Ffats at Weiner’s

6:30 p.m. East End at Pleasantville

8 p.m. La Crosse at Pleasantville

July 23

6:30 p.m. Ffats at East End

6:30 p.m. Pleasantville at Weiner’s

8 p.m. La Crosse at Weiner’s

July 30

6:30 p.m. Weiner’s at East End

DFSL playoff quarterfinal at Pleasantville
