WHS volleyball team sweeps two more
The Whitehall volleyball team continued to roll last week, winning two more matches in three sets.
Whitehall started the week with a 3-0 win over Augusta with all three wins coming by at least five points. Their sweep over Eleva-Strum was even more lopsided as the closest the Cardinals got was six points.
The wins put Whitehall at 9-1 on the season and 27-7 in all sets.
The Norse are the top seed in their Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association bracket and will host the winner of the match between (5) Plum City/Elmwood and (4) Eleva-Strum on Thursday with the regional final scheduled for Saturday.

The Norse were able to control all three sets as they pulled off the sweep.
Olivia Youngbauer registered 24 set assists in the match, which she was honored after for registering more than 1,000 for her career. Youngbauer has been a starter on varsity since her sophomore season and has been the only setter on the team each of the last two years. Youngbauer added eight digs in the match for the Norse.
Whitehall thrived at the service line as Nylah Lisowski had five service aces while Hannah Stoutner and Allison Koepke both had two. Koepke added 17 kills, while Lisowski had eight and Abby Semb finished with six.
Semb also had 14 digs with Stoutner adding eight and Kambrie Wurzer finishing with seven.

After easily winning the first set, the Norse finished the sweep with two more convincing victories.
Whitehall’s 16-point win in the first set put them in control and they never let E-S get going as the Norse won the second set by six and finished the sweep with a seven-point win.
Lisowski had six aces while Youngbauer and Stoutner both added two. Lisowski also had 10 kills and eight digs, while Stoutner had five digs and Youngbauer had 11 and 26 assists.
Koepke led the team with 13 kills and Semb added six, both also had seven digs. Wurzer had nine digs for the Norse.
