Shorthanded Raider gymnasts fall to Viroqua

The Arcadia gymnastics team already had a difficult time fielding a complete squad, but when illness hit the program last week, they were well short of that.

Illness meant two Arcadia gymnasts couldn’t compete in their dual against Viroqua, which meant they only had two available. The result was a 129.475 to 43.05 loss.

Itzel Hernandez led Arcadia with an all-around score of 22.625 while Litzabeth Alejo scored a 20.425.

Hernandez had a 6.6 on the vault, 4.15 on the bars, 5.0 on the beam and 6.875 on the floor. Alejo scored a 5.875 on the floor, 4.9 on the beam, 3.5 on the bars and 6.15 on the vault.

The Raiders will compete again next Thursday when they take on Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau at the Blue Angels Gymnastics Club in Galesville.
