The Arcadia boys and girls track teams didn’t have a lot of depth at the Northern Badger Classic on Saturday, but they did manage a few top-three finishes.
The Raider boys team finished eighth overall with three top-three finishes at the meet held at University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie. The Arcadia girls were 17th with their only place-winner taking first and tying a school record in the process.
Arcadia isn’t slated to compete again until April 12 when they run in a meet at Holmen.
Northern Badger Classic
Arcadia came away with two first-place finishes in the meet.
All 10 points scored by the Arcadia girls team came from Casidi Pehler winning the pole vault. The sophomore’s vault of 10-6 tied the school’s record.
Nestor Badillo won the 3200 for the Arcadia boys team as he finished 18 seconds better than Nathan Wolf of Athens.
The Raider boys also got a second-place finish from Ryan Sokup in the 55 and a third-place finish from the 1600 relay team.
The only other athlete to place was Landon Bremer, who took seventh.
