Bremer, Pehler win events for Arcadia track at Stout Invite

A pair of Arcadia athletes won their respective events at a track and field invitational last Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Stout that also featured Blair-Taylor.

Landan Bremer won the 200-meter run in 23.76 seconds, edging Carter Amerson of Wausau West (23.81) for the top spot.

Bremer also ran to second place in the open 400.

The junior wasn’t the only Arcadia athlete to earn a top finish on Friday, as classmate Casidi Pehler earned her second straight win with a leap of 11 feet, six inches in pole vault.

Pehler’s vault also set a new meet record.

Arcadia’s boys team finished ninth in the team competition with 23.5 points, with Osceola taking the top spot in the 28-team field at 49. With three points, Blair-Taylor tied with Stanley-Boyd with for 25th.

Osceola also won the team event on the girls’ side with 66 points. Arcadia tied for 18th, and Blair-Taylor took 26th with three points.

Blair-Taylor had a pair of top six finishers on Friday.

Junior Kristoffer Sandal ran to sixth in the 1,600-meter run for the boys, and Paige Kelly earned the same finish in the open 200 for the girls’ team.
