I/G boys seventh, girls eighth at E-S meet

The Independence/Gilmanton boys and girls track teams had a number of athletes finish inside the top three at the Eleva-Strum meet held last week Tuesday.

The I/G boys team had individual second-place finishes from Max Marsolek in the pole vault and Ben Pyka in the long jump. Their 400 relay team also took second while their 800 relay was third.

The I/G girls found success in the distance events as Taylor Sylla took second in the 1600, as did Gracie Rombalski in the 3200.
