B-T boys fifth, girls eighth at Royall meet

DaVonne Turner had four top-three finishes as the Blair-Taylor boys track team took fifth at a meet hosted by Royall on Thursday.

Turner won the 100 and took third in both the 200 and long jump while also running on the second-place 400 relay team with Evan Nehring, Riley McAdams and Connor Kruse.

B’T’s 3200 relay team also took second with McAdams, Lien, Riley Gunderson and Billy Miller. Their 1600 relay team of Nehring, Kris Sandal, Delorean Peterson and Ben Lien was third. Sandal was also third in the 1600 as was Hunter Wagner in the 400.

The B-T girls took eighth in the meet and didn’t have any top-three finishers. 

Paige Kelly was close twice, taking fourth in the 100 (13.37) and 200 (27.63) and their 3200 relay team of Ella Halverson, Isabelle Woodard, Kelsey Lien and Emmalee Johnson was also fourth (13:00.11).
