B-T boys ninth at Cashton XC meet

With one runner finishing in the top 30, the Blair-Taylor boys cross country team finished ninth at the Cashton Invitational on Saturday.

Jacob Olson led B-T, taking 25th overall as the team scored 203 points. The point total tied B-T with De Soto for eighth place, but De Soto’s sixth runner finished before B-T’s, giving the Pirates the tiebreaker. Richland Center/Ithaca won the meet with 25 points as it had four of the top six finishers. 

Ryan Flynn was second on B-T and 32nd overall while Thomas Brandt finished 50th; Anthony Oldendorf, 58th and Riley Gunderson rounded out the scoring, taking 81st overall. Bily Miller and Wyatt Schrock were the team’s sixth and seventh runners, finishing 90th and 95th, respectively. 

While they didn’t have enough to qualify for the team standings, B-T also had three girls compete. Jadrean Borreson led the squad, taking 31st while Kelsey Lien was 43rd and Emmalee Johnson took 49th.
