Arlan “Gil” Gilmeister, 86, of Hastings, went to be with the Lord, July 31, 2026. He was a devoted husband, dedicated father and a very proud grandfather. He leaves behind many special friendships, and lots of cherished memories.
Gil is survived by his son, Michael (Ann) Walker; daughter, Jodi (Tom) Reimers; daughter, Jill Roy; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Harold and Lila Gilmeister; his wife, Patricia; and his daughter, Linda.
Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Rose of Sharon Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Lunch will be provided following the service.
