Cecil R. Peters

 

Cecil Ray Peters, 75, of Black River Falls passed way Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Gunderson Tri-County Health Care Center in Whitehall.

Cecil was born July 31, 1947, in Black River Falls, to Floyd and Myrtle (Hermanson) Peters. He was married to his wife Alohoa, January 14, 1967, at Blair Lutheran Church.

Cecil had several different careers, including working as a deputy reserve officer for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, driving bus for the Black River Falls School District, owning and operating a sewer business, mowing at Trinity Farms, and working as a meat cutter in Blair. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing bingo at Kal’s, had a love of cats and dogs, and always loved to visit with his friends and family.

Cecil is survived by his son, Troy (Wanda) Peters; daughter, Michele (Donald) Moe; daughter-in-law, Holly Peters; brother, James (Isabelle) Peters; sister, Ruth Ann (Lynn) Finch; grandchildren: Mason (Molly) Hieb, Trever Hieb, Matthew (Alannah) Peters, Mercedes Peters, Mitchell (Arlecia) Peters, and Carl (Samantha Capouch) Peters; great-grandchildren: Sutton Miller, Holland Miller and Haelynn Peters.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alohoa; son, Jody Peters; brothers: Richard (Eileen) Peters, Earnest (Gladys) Peters, Joe (Lorretta) Peters, Jack (Nellie) Peters; sisters: Virginia (Arnold) Springkle, Frances (Tom) Tibbitts, and Violet (Jerry) Gebhardt.

A memorial service for Cecil Peters will held Friday, February 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Torgerson Funeral Home of Black River Falls, 408 North Water Street. Friends of the family are invited to visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the start of services.
