Dean J. Lyngen

Dean Jeffrey Lyngen, 72, of Whitehall, died Monday, September 21, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

Dean was born June 8, 1954, in Whitehall, to Ernest William and Marion Elizabeth (Hanson) Lyngen. He married Janet Ryan, April 15, 2006, in Nashua, IA.

Dean was a self-employed truck driver for over fifty years. He loved to take his four wheeler and his dog, Benji, to go visiting the neighborhood.

Dean is survived by his wife, Janet; his daughter, Cyrstal (Laine) Musser; a step-daughter, Jessica Ryan (David M.); a grandson, Liam Musser; two brothers: Dale (Sonja) and Dennis (Nancy) Lyngen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell; and a sister, Darlene.

Dean touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His warmth and generous spirit will be remembered forever.
