Gary J. Erickson

Gary J. Erickson, 74, of rural Osseo, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, in his sleep, at the Mondovi Lutheran Home.

Gary was born July 23, 1947, in Pigeon Falls. He was an only child who grew up just outside Pigeon Falls, and relocated to Osseo, where he graduated high school in 1965. Gary worked as a Floor Supervisor at General Motors (GM) in Janesville for about 25 years. He retired and moved back home to Osseo.

Gary was an avid deer hunter, life-time member of the North American Hunting Club, and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He loved riding his custom-built Harleys and watching NASCAR races! He also cherished his Black Labradors: ‘Smokey’, ‘Bandit I’ and ‘Bandit II’. Anyone that knew Gary had figured out his dogs ate better than most humans. Laugh out loud! On any particular day, Gary could be caught in his “Man Cave”, watching a Classic Western or Gunsmoke, waiting to talk and share a beer. In Gary’s words, “It’s Kevin Harvick time!”

Gary is survived by his two sons: Todd G. Erickson & John J. Erickson; and his Black Lab, ‘Bandit II’.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
