Jack Kenneth Hoyer, 72, passed away unexpectedly, January 31, 2023, at his home in Iron River, WI.

Jack was born August 19, 1950, to John Kenneth and Bernadelle (Carson) Hoyer at Trinity Hospital in Ashland, WI. His first years were spent at Ondossagon where his father was school principal. Jack attended Cumberland and West Grant Schools through 11th grade and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1968. He attended Superior College. Jack had a great sense of humor and of fun. He was an outstanding athlete in his youth and a lifelong Badgers fan. He enjoyed being with his son, Andrew, and his grandchildren, especially in his retirement. Andrew was his greatest pride. Sören and Aästah were his greatest joys. His love for them will remain in their hearts forever.

Jack is survived by his son, Andrew Carson Hoyer; and grandchildren: Sören and Aästah. He is also survived by sisters: Mary Ellen (Allan) Organ, West Concord, MN, Joan Hoyer, Madison, WI, and Beth (Malcolm) Andrews, Broken Hill, NSW, Australia. He is further survived by nephews: Ken (Jessica) Organ, Erick (Angela) Organ and nieces Kamila (Nestor) Flores, Ellen Andrews and Carly Andrews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, William Organ.

Jack was a man of few words. In fact, he would say that this obituary is too long! We are trying to keep it short for you, our beloved brother. We will miss you and love you always.
