Julie K. Kastad

Julie Kay Kastad, 50, of Chippewa Falls, unexpectedly passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at home.
Julie was born September 25, 1975, in Whitehall, to Robert Alan and Patricia Ann (Jensen) Kastad Sr.
Julie lived life to the fullest, always choosing to do what she loved and never looking back with regret. Whether she was spending time with family, enjoying her favorite hobbies, traveling, watching sports, camping, or pouring her heart into her work, she embraced every moment. If you knew her through any of these parts of her life, consider yourself truly blessed.
Her love of travel began in high school with a trip to Germany, followed a few years later by Italy. From there, her adventures grew to include many cruises, trips to Mexico, and visits to countless states. When she wasn’t traveling far, she found joy just a few miles from home at the campground where she kept her camper each summer, continuing the camping lifestyle she grew up with.
Julie was known as one of the luckiest people around. Her love for casinos was something she shared with our mom and dad, and those moments brought her so much happiness.
She was also a huge sports fan. If a game was on—whether on TV or in person—you could count on Julie to be watching. Her love for the Green Bay Packers often brought her to Green Bay, either in the stadium or at a local hangout when tickets weren’t available. For her, it was about being surrounded by people who loved the game as much as she did. Every year, she chose a new away game to attend, hoping to eventually visit every team’s stadium.
Julie was an active life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 246 and the Women of the Moose Chapter 770, where she was currently serving as treasurer.
She graduated from Whitehall High School in 1994 and went on to earn her degree as a Registered Dental Hygienist from North Central Technical College in 1999. Over her 27-year career, she spent the past 19 years with the Family Health Center in Chippewa Falls, where she made a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues.
Julie is survived by a brother, Robert (Jill Thompson) Kastad Jr. of Whitehall; a sister, Karen (David) Glenz of Chippewa Falls; very special nephews: Evan Glenz of Chippewa Falls and Samuel Glenz of Ramsey, MN.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Whitehall. Father Kyle N. Laylan will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
