Kathryn R. Saxe-Mueller

 

Kathryn Renee Saxe-Mueller, 56, of Albert Lea, MN, passed away March 9, 2024.

Kathryn was born October 26, 1967, to LaVern and Charlene Saxe of rural Ettrick. She graduated from Blair High School in 1986, and went on to receive a BA from Luther College, an MA from Luther Seminary, a teaching certificate from the state of Massachusetts, a Surgical Technician Certification, and her RN from Pima Medical Institute.

Kathryn was a Pharmacy Technician at UW–Madison Hospital. She was the Director of Music and Junior High Ministry at St. Timothy Lutheran in St. Paul, MN. Kathryn was a flight agent at Minneapolis and Boston airports and installed aircraft interiors for Bombardier. She was an elementary music teacher at Mullein Hill Christian Academy in Lakeville, MA, and director of music for Tanque Verde Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ. Kathryn was a custom home builder and a psychiatric nurse for Mirasol recovery centers. Kathryn was an avid lover of art and music. She was the trumpet soloist for the Luther College Messiah performance in 1989.

Survivors include her mother, Charlene; her children: Timothy and Sonja Grace; four brothers: Craig and Arletta (Sorenson) of Mauston, WI, Jeffrey and Lesa (Bobo) of Ettrick, WI, Rodney and Elizabeth (McDougall) of Blair, WI, and Scott of Fayetteville, GA; and a sister, Kimberly; and Brian DeVries of Chaska, MN. Kathryn was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at North Beaver Creek Parish (Brick) Lutheran Church in Rural Ettrick. Rev. Libby Howe will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Cemetery.
