Laverne L. “Red” Marsolek

 

Laverne L. “Red” Marsolek, 80, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Tomah, after a battle with leukemia.

Laverne was born August 26, 1942, to Leonard and Theresa Marsolek of Independence. He went into the U.S. Army from June 10, 1964, until June 1, 1966. Laverne married Sharon (Greenwold) Marsolek, and they had four children.

Laverne is survived by his children: Troy (Lori) Marsolek, Laverne M. Butch Marsolek, Darian Marsolek, Stacy Marsolek and their families; a brother, Ronald (Lorraine) Marsolek of Independence; sister, Marlene Marsolek of Galesville; sister, Shirley (Jerome) Feuling of Independence; sister, Barb Getter of Blair.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in Independence at East End Bar in the back room. Please join us on this day to remember “Red” and share lots of stories together,
