Lois H. Rowe

Lois Hanson Rowe, 57, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN, following a brave and graceful fight against leukemia and its consequences.
Lois was born January 24, 1964, in Arcadia, to Vilas and Joan Hanson. The youngest of four children, Lois was a soft-spoken woman whose empathy and concern for her siblings knew no bounds. Lois had a very special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. She loved being an aunt and great aunt. Her cousins were more like best friends and her closest girlfriends like sisters.
Kathryn Margaret, her only child, was without a doubt her greatest joy. She was so proud of the beautiful young woman Katy is today.
A longtime resident of Rochester, MN, she worked in various Histology related departments at Mayo Clinic. Lois was most active in her Histology Professional organization and very much enjoyed the cities she traveled to for meetings and the special friends she made over the years.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn of New York City, NY; mother, Joan of Arcadia; brothers: Dan of Elk Mound; Jay (Kim) of Rogers, AR; and sister, Lorelei of Kingwood, TX.
Lois was preceded in death by her father, Vilas; and sister-in-law, Cindy.
A visitation was held Sunday, August 8, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Wozney – Killian Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday August 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church in Arcadia. Internment was at St. Stanislaus Cemetery immediately following.
