Michal “Mike” C. Beam

 

Michal (Mike) Charles Beam, 55, of rural Ettrick, died Thursday, February 16, 2023, in his home.

Mike was born May 29, 1967, in Park Falls. He married Pamela Fredendall, October 24, 1998, in Janesville. They soon after built their home in Ettrick, where they raised their three daughters.

Mike graduated from Phillips High School, received an undergraduate degree in Accounting from UW-Eau Claire and a master’s degree in Taxation from UW-Milwaukee. Mike worked for Ashley Furniture for 16 years before becoming the CFO of Nesnah Ventures in 2016.

Mike was an active member of French Creek Lutheran Church where he volunteered in many capacities, most recently including treasurer of the church foundation. Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed boating with his family and hunting with his close friends and beloved dog, Max. Mike, together with his wife, Pam, spent many weekends supporting their daughters at various extracurricular events.

Mike is survived by his wife, Pam; daughters: Alex, Julia and Jenna; his mother, Charlene Taylor; a sister, Lisa (Tom) Tratthen; a step-sister, Vicky (Max) Myers; half-siblings: Brenda (Scott) Schoenborn, Debbie (Jody) Lebal, Pat (Jessica) Beam, Chuck Beam and Kevin Beam; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his father, Mike was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Taylor; his biological father, Michal Beam; a step-sister, Kim Zielinski; and his grandparents.

The Beam family would like to extend a very warm and heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Gundersen Oncology department and the staff at Gundersen Hospice for the compassion, care and love given to Mike and our family throughout this journey.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at French Creek Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick. Pastor Barbara Knutson will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Lunch will follow the service.
