Nancy A. Rutschow

 

Nancy Ann Rutschow, 74, of rural Whitehall, died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Nancy was born December 7, 1948, in Mondovi, at Gillette Hospital, to Charles and Gladys (Ellenberger) Borgwardt. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Mondovi High School in 1967. Nancy went to school and became a certified Health Unit Coordinator. Nancy worked for over thirty years at Tri-County Memorial Nursing Home in Whitehall prior to her retirement.

Nancy was united in marriage to Robert Rutschow, June 12, 1968, at Thompson Valley Lutheran Church in Mondovi. They were blessed with fifty four years of marriage and together they raised a son, Brian.

Nancy loved to read, go bowling, boating, fishing, enjoyed visiting places in Wisconsin and especially spending time with her grandchildren and going to all of their many activities.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Brian (Cathleen) Rutschow of Marshfield; two grandsons: Andrew and Matthew Rutschow, both of Marshfield; two sisters: Marilyn (Dave) Quindt of Albert Lea, MN, and Connie (Jerry) Gillespie of Manitowoc; two brothers: Bill (Mary) Borgwardt of Independence and Robert (Diane) Borgwardt of Rathdrum, ID; a special goddaughter, Karyn Schroeder of Madison; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Jack Funeral Home with burial at Lincoln Cemetery, both in Whitehall. Pastor Peter Jonas will officiate.
