Rita Bork

Rita Bork, 89, of Waumandee, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, April 1, 2021, at her son’s home.

Rita was born February 11, 1932, in Arcadia, to Rudolph and Mary (Sendelbach) Pronschinske. She married Cyriac Bork, October 2, 1950, at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee. Rita was very active in her church and community. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, square dancing, and spending time with loved ones.

Rita is survived by her eight children: James (Pat) Bork of Independence, Francis (Laney) Bork of Waumandee, Leon (Cindy) Bork of Waumandee, Bernard (Diana) Bork of Waumandee, Marilyn (Bernard) Kampa of Independence, Dennis (Debra) Bork of Waumandee, Barbara (Darryl) Chapman of Clarksville, TN and Paulette (Dan) Finucane of Evansville, IN; 23 grandchildren; 44 great- grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters: Anna Schmitt of Fountain City, Janice Weiss of Mondovi, and brother: Rudy (Dorothy) Pronschinske Sr. of Waumandee; two sisters-in-law: Carolyn Pronschinske of Arcadia, and Angie Bork of Fountain City; and many nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cyriac Bork; sisters: Doris Filla, Leora Skroch; brother, Robert Pronschinske; and twin great-granddaughters: Anna and Emily Fernholz.

Family and friends are invited for visitation Thursday, April 8, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Waumandee. A Mass of Christian Burial for immediate family only will be held Friday, April 9, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at Saint Boniface Catholic Church with Fr. Aruldoss officiating. Burial will be at Saint Boniface Cemetery in Waumandee.
