Midway through January, the Arcadia High School boys basketball team had been within reach of nearly every team they played but wins weren’t stacking together and the Raiders were winless in the Coulee Conference.
The Raiders responded by winning 12 of their final 15 games, a stretch that included a 5-2 run in conference play.
The late season turnaround granted seventh-seeded Arcadia (13-11 overall, 5-7 Coulee) a first round home playoff game against 10th-seeded Mauston (10-13 this season) this Tuesday. The winner will play second-seeded Elk Mound (18-5) on Friday.
Arcadia closed the regular season last week with two games, a win over Cochrane-Fountain City and a loss to West Salem.
