B-T’s Dummer named Player of the Year

Blair-Taylor senior CJ Dummer was recently named the Dairyland Conference’s Player of the Year and a member of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association  Division Five All-State team. 

Dummer broke through during his senior season, averaging 21.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game. He shot 46% from the field and 72.1% at the free throw line last season. The Wildcats finished second in the Dairyland Conference Small Division. 

“I am so proud of CJ and all he did these past few years for our program and teams,” B-T Coach Randy Storlie said. “He is a true team player and a great kid.” 

Dummer was one of two area players named to the All-Dairyland Conference First Team, joining Whitehall’s Will Youngbauer. The Whitehall junior averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.2 steals per game, leading the Norse to a second-place finish in the DC-Large Division. 

Joining them on the All-DC First Team was Aidan Lisowski and Tucker Bambenek, Cochrane-Fountain City; Breckin Hullopeter, Alma/Pepin; Drake Vojtik and Noah Sullivan, Osseo-Fairchild; Jake Zimmerman, Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran; and Jay Stetzer, Alma Center Lincoln. 

Youngbauer’s teammate Bo Killian was named to the All-DC Second Team. The junior averaged 12.5 points per game for the Norse. 

Also earning second-team honors were Brady Blaken and Brooks Cowley, Melrose-Mindoro; Bryce Buttke and Isac Mooney, Augusta; Calvin Barneson and Cashton Kulig, Eleva-Strum; Mason Schmidt, Osseo-Fairchild; and Mavrik Ehrat, C-FC.
