B-T boys, Whitehall girls take second at B-T meet

The Blair-Taylor boys and Whitehall girls cross country teams both finished second at the meet hosted by Blair-Taylor at the Taylor Rod and Gun Club last Tuesday.

The B-T boys had two runners finish inside the top five as Landen Kidd took fourth (20:18) and Caiden Lien was fifth (20:25). The Wildcats scored 44 points, just behind Alma Center Lincoln’s 38, while Cashton finished with 66, and Whitehall scored 69. 

Robbie Brandt was 11th overall for B-T with a time of 21:29 followed by Aaron Pabst (16th, 23:06), Jeremiah Oestreich (23rd, 25:08), and Owen Sims (27th, 26:13). 

Christopher Mann was the top runner for Whitehall, finishing ninth with a time of 20:46. He was followed by Gage Garbers (15th, 23:01), Cayden Platteter (17th, 23:19), Alam Sandoval (18th, 23:22), Naymar Maldonado (29th, 27:15), Colby Santos (30th, 27:25), and Weston Stenulsen (32nd, 30:12). 

Lexi Kurth was second overall for the Whitehall girls with a time of 23:51. Whitehall and Cashton were the only two schools with enough runners to qualify for team scores. Cashton won the meet with 19 points and Whitehall scored 36.

Anna Kurth was second on the Norse and 12th overall with a time of 30:27 followed by Marisol Guzman (17th, 34:32), Symphony Hass (18th, 34:40), Sophia Knutson (20th, 36:10), and Cryslynn Smith (21st, 39:45). 

Jadrean Borreson led the B-T girls, finishing fourth overall with a time of 24:31. Allie Jorgenson finished ninth (28:17), and Aleah Polege was 19th (35:46). 

The Norse ran in a meet at Durand on Thursday, but results were not posted before the Times went to press.
