B-T net team opens with two wins

After one of the more successful seasons in recent team history, the Blair-Taylor volleyball team won two of three matches at an invitational in Elmwood last Tuesday.

The Wildcats opened with a 2-1 win over Independence/Gilmanton before falling to Shell Lake, 0-2. They finished the quad with a 2-1 win over Plum City/Elmwood. B-T is coming off of a 2022 season in which it went 19-7 and won its first 12 matches. 

I/G went 0-2 on the day, falling to two Dairyland Conference teams. The Indees lost the match to B-T then fell, 2-1, to Cochrane-Fountain City. The match against C-FC was close as C-FC won the first set by just two points before I/G took the second, 25-20. But the Pirates picked up the match win with a 15-9 win in the third set.

Individual statistics were not reported to the Times.

B-T was set to be in action again on Thursday of this week when it hosts Osseo-Fairchild. They’ll play Loyal this coming Tuesday before opening DC competition with a rematch against I/G next Thursday.

The Indees are scheduled to go to Boyceville on Tuesday of this week before their match at B-T next Thursday.
