B-T net team swept by O-F

The Blair-Taylor volleyball team had trouble getting its offense going as it failed to reach 20 points in a three-set sweep by Osseo-Fairchild.
The Thunder scored the first six points of the first set, establishing a tone that they would carry to a 25-10 win. They went on to win the second set by six points and finished the sweep with a seven-point win.
The loss evened B-T’s match record at 2-2 on the season. They played another nonconference match on Tuesday of this week, hosting Loyal before opening Dairyland Conference play with a home match against Independence/Gilmanton on Thursday. The Wildcats are scheduled to play at Whitehall this coming Tuesday.

The Wildcats struggled handling serves early in the first set and scrambled to get any offense going.
The Thunder took a 6-0 lead thanks, in part, to two service aces. While B-T responded with two straight points, the Thunder had the Wildcats off-balance throughout the set. They went on a run to take a 12-2 lead before winning 25-10.
The next two sets were closer as B-T was able to get the ball to sophomore Andrea Waldera at the net more. Waldera led the team with nine kills and added 11 blocks. B-T also got four kills from Madalynn Frederixon and three from Ryleigh Seitz, who also had three blocks.
Anna White led B-T with four service aces, Waldera added three. Paige Kelly had a team-best 12 digs and Jenna Beam added five.
