Baldwin-Woodville ends Raiders’ softball run

One of the top seeds in the Division Three softball bracket ended Arcadia’s softball season last Tuesday.

Arcadia fell 6-1 at the hands of top-seeded Baldwin-Woodville on the road. The Raiders finish the 2023 season with a 5-16 record.

Arcadia won their first playoff matchup over Nekoosa last week before the ninth-seeded Raiders met with one of the top programs in the state—Baldwin-Woodville is 17-4 this season and finished the regular season ranked fifth in the wissports.net coaches’ poll.

Baldwin-Woodville took a 5-0 lead through three innings and held the Raiders off the scoresheet until the sixth inning.

Kanah Slaby had Arcadia’s lone run on a day the Raiders were held to four hits. 

Justine Sonsalla hit a double for Arcadia.

Kaitlyn Bremer allowed seven hits through six innings pitched while striking out three and walking none.
