Explosive fifth inning carries G-E-T softball to win

A monster fifth inning gave the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau softball team the perfect start under first year head coach Nate DeJager last week.

The Red Hawks scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning to bust open a 1-1 game before going on to claim a 10-3 victory over La Crosse Central in their season opener last Tuesday.

A pair of road games are on the schedule for G-E-T this week, the first in De Soto on Tuesday. The Coulee Conference opener awaits the Red Hawks on Thursday in West Salem.
