Indees top Pirates in DC baseball play
The Independence/Gilmanton baseball team scored the first four runs and held on to beat Cochrane-Fountain City, 6-3, on the road on Friday.
The game came after a 3-1 loss to Blair-Taylor (see story elsewhere in Sports). The Indees entered this week with a 5-5 record before Tuesday’s game against Augusta. The team is slated to play a non-conference game against Eau Claire Regis on Thursday before heading to Eleva-Strum on Friday. This coming Tuesday, they’ll return home to play Osseo-Fairchild.
