The Arcadia Post 17 legion baseball team made quick work of the Bi-State team last Tuesday to kick off a week that ended with a loss to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau Post 354 (see story elsewhere in Sports).

Arcadia (8-7 this summer) is scheduled to visit Tomah on Monday before traveling to take on Sparta on Thursday.

Prestin Scow was all over the stat sheet last Tuesday — Scow threw five scoreless innings for Arcadia, striking out a pair of batters and limiting Bi-State to four hits.

Scow also co-led Arcadia with two hits on offense.

Post 17 was helped by the hosts walking numerous batters to start Tuesday’s game and took full advantage of the opportunity, claiming an 8-0 lead in the first inning.

Four more runs for the visitors in the bottom of the fifth inning sealed the final score.

Connor Weltzien hit 2-for-3 with a double for Arcadia.
