Raider netters take two of three in CC

The Arcadia volleyball team appears to be settling into third place in the Coulee Conference after winning two of their three matches last week.
The Raiders took a 10-point lead early in the first set of their 3-1 win over Black River Falls on Tuesday — no further information from that match was reported to the Times. On Thursday, they played a conference triangular, sweeping Onalaska Luther after being swept by CC-leading West Salem.
At the start of this week, the Panthers sat at 7-0 in conference play, while Westby was 5-1 and Arcadia, 5-3. The Raiders were 9-8 overall before Thursday’s home match against Viroqua.
This coming Tuesday, Arcadia plays one of the top Dairyland Conference teams when it travels to Cochrane-Fountain City before going to Westby next Thursday.

The Raiders were as close as they could possibly get without picking up a win.
All three sets were competitive, but West Salem came away with two-point wins for the sweep.
Casidi Pehler was a force at the net for the Raiders with 12 blocks and five kills. Justin Sonsalla and Kaitlyn Bremer both had nine kills and Tatum Drazkowski had six blocks. Adella Anderson led the team with 26 set assists.
Sonsalla had a team-high 21 digs with Samantha Berg adding 15 and Kanah Slaby, 14.
Lauren Conrad led the team at the service line with two aces.

After playing the best team in the conference close, the Raiders scored a lopsided sweep over Luther.
Pehler led the team with 10 kills and added four blocks. Sonsalla had eight kills and Bremer, five. Drazkowski had a team-high seven blocks. Anderson had 29 assists.
The Raiders had success at the service line as Anderson registered three aces and both Berg and Drazkowski had two. Sonsalla led the team with 14 digs, Berg and Drazkowski both had 11.
