The teams from Stanley-Boyd took the top spots at the inaugural Indee Invitational cross country meet held at Pietrek Park last Tuesday, but Independence/Gilmanton’s Taylor Sylla claimed an individual title.

Sylla won the girls race with a time of 19:16, which would’ve placed her second in the boys’ race behind only S-B’s John Smit. Neither I/G nor Whitehall had enough runners to compete in the team standings.

S-B won the boys field with 26 points, ahead of Eleva-Strum, 43 and Augusta, 58. The S-B girls scored 22 points, topping Augusta, 44 and Alma Center Lincoln, 73.

Not far behind Taylor Sylla was Allie Sylla, taking third with a time of 22:20. Sophia Kampa took sixth in 23:02 and Anna Kent finished 10th in 23:41.

Lexi Kurth was the only Whitehall girl competing. She finished ninth with a time of 23:40.

Owen Gierok took third for the I/G boys, finishing in 19:56. Jayden Harz finished 15th for I/G in 24:17 and Maddox Pronschinske was 27th in 28:10.

Kole Kulig finished fifth for Whitehall, crossing the finish line in 20:23. Christopher Mann, Finn Anderson and Frank Juresh also competed for the Norse. Mann was 20th, Anderson was 25th and Juresh was 28th with times of 25:12, 27:03 and 29:24.
