Wildcats hot in win over Hornets, cold against Cardinals
The Blair-Taylor girls basketball team had a high and then a low as it split two games last week.
The Wildcats reached a season-high with 88 points in a win over Alma Center Lincoln on Tuesday. That win clinched the Dairyland Conference Large Division Championship for the Wildcats. On Thursday, however, the team scored a season-low 26 points in a lopsided loss to Eleva-Strum.
The split put B-T at 16-6 overall and 14-5 in Dairyland Conference play, two games better than Cochrane-Fountain City with only one game left for B-T. The Wildcats closed the regular season with a home game against Augusta on Monday of this week.
The Wildcats received the second seed in their Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division Five regional bracket and will host La Farge/Youth Initiative this coming Tuesday. The winner of that game will play the winner of the game between (7) Cashton and (10) Kickapoo on Friday with the regional final set for Saturday.

B-T got going quickly as the team put up 42 points in the first half, but still only had a two-point lead at halftime. The Wildcats continued to scorch the nets in the second half and managed to get enough stops to pull away.
