Council OKs keeping parking lot at old city hall location

The city of Arcadia has a verbal agreement to purchase the former city hall building. The property, purchased by Tienda Guerrero Whitehall, Inc. in late 2021, has operated as an auto repair shop since then. The building served as city hall from its construction in 1893 until 2021, when city operations moved to the current city hall on Dettloff Drive. The city is currently planning to tear the building down once the sale is finalized, though the plan is not yet finalized.           (Times photograph by Andrew Dannehy)
